The featured speaker will be Frank N. Newman (AB ’63), who will discuss “Money and Treasuries in the 21st Century.” A distinguished Harvard alumnus, Mr. Newman served as Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Treasury and has held top leadership roles in global finance—including Chairman and CEO of two international banks, Vice Chairman and CFO of a major U.S. bank, corporate director, and advisor to companies and private equity firms.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Frank N. Newman, AB 1963

unnamedFrank Newman has served as Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Treasury, Chairman and CEO of two international banks, and CFO of Wells Fargo and Bank of America. He later led Shenzhen Development Bank in China and has advised global companies and private equity firms.
 

An innovator in cybersecurity, he holds several patents and is CEO of PathGuard, a company based on his technology. He is also a founding director of Alpha 8, which provides innovative financing for intellectually driven enterprises.
 

Mr. Newman has served on numerous corporate boards, including Dow Jones, and on the Board of Trustees and Investment Committee of Carnegie Hall. He is a Harvard graduate with high honors in economics and the author of two books and several articles on economic policy.
