Hear the Story They Couldn’t Ignore.
Join us for an eye-opening evening with former Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg AB ’93, JD ’96 and co-author Dr. Dave Campbell, MD, as they reveal the dark truths behind Florida’s addiction treatment industry and how they fought back.

Drawing from their new book, Fighting the Florida Shuffle, the authors will share real stories of exploitation, systemic corruption, and the work of the Sober Homes Task Force to expose it all.

Bonus: Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough, who wrote the book’s foreword, may join via Zoom with opening remarks on why this story matters now more than ever.

This stop on the “Two Daves’ Florida Tour” follows a packed event in Palm Beach - now it’s Broward’s turn. Don’t miss this powerful conversation.

photoDavid "Dr. Dave" Campbell, MD is the co-author of Fighting the Florida Shuffle with Dave Aronberg.
While not a Harvard alumnus, he did receive a BA in Biology from one of the other Ivy League institutions, the esteemed Columbia College at Columbia University in New York City.
Campbell has been the Chief Medical Correspondent of the cable news show, Morning Joe.
While on that show, he teamed up with Aronberg to bring to light the crisis of fraud and misguided medical care in the addiction treatment and sober home industry in Palm Beach County.
Campbell’s previous book, The Teen Formula, is a handbook for parents to avoid substance misuse and addiction in their children.

ABOUT THE BOOK

florida-shuffleIn this compelling exposé, co-authored with MSNBC Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Dave Campbell, Aronberg pulls back the curtain on the shadowy underworld of addiction treatment profiteering—where individuals seeking help are too often caught in a cycle of relapse, fraud, and exploitation. The book offers a raw, behind-the-scenes look at how greed infiltrated an industry meant to heal, and how his team responded with bold reforms and decisive action.
