Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Science
Professor Malan is the mastermind behind CS50, one of the largest and most popular courses at Harvard, Yale, and edX, with over 6.4 million registrants. His groundbreaking work in computer science education extends to Harvard Law School, Extension School, and Summer School and has also taught at Harvard Business School. His courses cover topics in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and computer-assisted education, and are freely available as OpenCourseWare. With more than 2 million subscribers on YouTube, Professor Malan’s impact reaches learners worldwide.
But his talents go beyond the classroom. Professor Malan is also the operator of the Regent Theatre in Arlington, Massachusetts, a historic 450-seat venue that blends technology, education, and the arts. The theater serves as a community hub dedicated to producing high-quality content with a positive impact on the world.
