Join us for a conversation with Celeste Ng, celebrated author of the novels Everything I Never Told You (Penguin Books, 2014), Little Fires Everywhere (Penguin Books, 2017), and Our Missing Hearts (Penguin Books, 2022). Ng’s award-winning fiction explores themes of cultural identity; family, gender, and race relations; community; and immigrant experiences. A recipient of the Pushcart Prize, a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, and a Guggenheim Fellowship, among other honors, Ng’s work has appeared in the New York Times, the Guardian, One Story, TriQuarterly, Bellevue Literary Review, Kenyon Review Online, and many other publications.

Everything I Never Told You was a New York Times Notable Book of 2014; Amazon’s #1 Best Book of 2014; and winner of the Massachusetts Book Award, the Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature, and the ALA’s Alex Award. It was named a best book of the year by over a dozen publications. Little Fires Everywhere won the Ohioana Award and the Goodreads Readers Choice Award 2017 in Fiction and was named Amazon's Best Fiction Book of 2017 and a best book of the year by over 25 publications. Our Missing Hearts was also named a New York Times Notable Book, won the Ohioana Award, and was featured as a best book of the year in numerous publications.

She received her AB from Harvard University and MFA from the University of Michigan. In 2020, Ng launched a new internship grant program for adult publishing in collaboration with We Need Diverse Books.
