The Harvard Club of the Palm Beaches
will be discussing (via Zoom)
by Charles Yu
This National Book Award winner is a personal, darkly humorous novel that explores pop culture’s roles and stereotypes. It examines roles both in acting and in real life, touching on family and parenthood with a uniquely American perspective on immigration and assimilation across generations.
Charles Yu has written four books and been a screenwriter for shows on FX, AMC, and HBO. He received the National Book Foundation’s “5 Under 35 Award,” and two Writers Guild of America awards.
Because we wish to keep the discussion intimate, and to allow all members to share their thoughts, we will have a 25-person RSVP maximum. If you cannot register on the website, please email the Harvard Club of the Palm Beaches Club Administrator at firstname.lastname@example.org to be placed on the waitlist.
While reading, please consider a question or observation that you would like the group to discuss and bring it to the meeting!
