Harvard Month (and a half) of Service
Feeding South Florida
April is Harvard's Month of Service and this year the Harvard Club of Broward County is extending this month into May. Check out the following event and get involved in serving your community:
Join your fellow alumni in helping to alleviate hunger in our community through a Feeding South Florida warehouse volunteer event sponsored by the Stanford, Cornell, Harvard, Yale, and West Point alumni clubs of Broward and Miami-Dade.
Feeding South Florida (FSF) rescues more than 40 million pounds of food per year and distributes it to those in need through a network of nonprofit partner agencies, including soup kitchens, food pantries, homeless shelters, group homes, and other emergency food service programs throughout Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. The product needs to be inspected and sorted before distribution. Your help is needed to accomplish this critical task.

WHERE: Feeding South Florida, 2501 SW 32 Terrace, Pembroke Park, FL 33023
REGISTRATION: **Participation requires pre-registration** Please RSVP so that we can include you on our list provided to event coordinators.
Participants must be 12
years of age or older.
ACTIVITY DETAILS: Work will occur inside at Feeding South Florida’s main warehouse in Pembroke Park and includes: inspecting and checking product, sorting and categorizing food with like items, and repackaging food into boxes to prepare it for distribution.
Please wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothing
