It examines roles both in acting and in real life, touching on family and parenthood with a uniquely American perspective on immigration and assimilation across generations.


Charles Yu has written four books and been a screenwriter for shows on FX, AMC, and HBO. He received the National Book Foundation’s “5 Under 35 Award,” and two Writers Guild of America awards.

Because we wish to keep the discussion intimate, and to allow all members to share their thoughts, we will have a 25-person RSVP maximum.
