Charlie Neuschafer will lead us on an adventure exploring the history of Florida, guided by his extensive collection of old maps and paper ephemera. We will charliestpetelearn about its first appearance on printed maps in the 16th century and follow its development as a territory and then a state, with its final county configuration completed less than 100 years ago.

After earning his M.A.T. from Harvard in 1966, he spent the next 25 years teaching English, writing, editing, and running a printing business. In 1992, he started New World Maps, a marketplace for collectors of original antique and collectible maps, prints, books, and a wide range of paper ephemera. His website offers a series of videos and instructional guides to foster the understanding and appreciation of antique and collectible maps.
